An Easy Day at Assiniboine Park: The Leaf, the Zoo and Journey to Churchill
Assiniboine Park sits ten minutes west of downtown and is the easiest full-day plan in Winnipeg with kids. Polar bears, a glass biome, a sculpture garden, a duck pond and a perfectly fine restaurant on site — all inside one ticketable park.
Journey to Churchill
The zoo's flagship exhibit is also the only place in the world you can stand under a polar bear as it swims overhead through a clear underwater tunnel. Go on a weekday morning if you can — the bears are most active before lunch.
The Leaf
Six biomes under one glass roof: tropical, Mediterranean, butterfly garden, and a temperate gallery that smells like eucalyptus. The architecture alone is worth the entry. Buy a combo ticket with the zoo if you plan to do both.
